创1:1 起初神创造天地。
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
创1:2 地是空虚混沌,渊面黑暗;神的灵运行在水面上。
Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

And God said, "Let there be light,"and there was light.
创1:4 神看光是好的,就把光暗分开了。
God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

创1:5 神称光为昼,称暗为夜。有晚上,有早晨,这是头一日。
God called the light"day," and the darkness he called"night."And there was evening, and there was morning-the first day.

And God said,"Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water."

创1:7 神就造出空气,将空气以下的水、空气以上的水分开了。事就这样成了。
So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.
创1:8 神称空气为天。有晚上,有早晨,是第二日。
God called the expanse“sky.”And there was evening, and there was morning-the second day.
创1:9 神说:“天下的水要聚在一处,使旱地露出来。”事就这样成了。
And God said,“Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so.

创1:10 神称旱地为地,称水的聚处为海。神看着是好的。
God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas. ”And God saw that it was good.
创1:11 神说:“地要发生青草和结种子的菜蔬,并结果子的树木,各从其类,果子都包着核。”事就这样成了。
Then God said,“Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.

The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
创1:13 有晚上,有早晨,是第三日。
And there was evening, and there was morning-the third day.
创1:14 神说:“天上要有光体,可以分昼夜,作记号,定节令、日子、年岁。
And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years,

创1:16 于是神造了两个大光,大的管昼,小的管夜。又造众星,
God made two great lights-the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

创1:17 就把这些光摆列在天空,普照在地上,
God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,
创1:18 管理昼夜,分别明暗。神看着是好的。
to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
创1:19 有晚上,有早晨,是第四日。
And there was evening, and there was morning-the fourth day.
创1:20 神说:“水要多多滋生有生命的物,要有雀鸟飞在地面以上,天空之中。”
And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.”

So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.”

And there was evening, and there was morning-the fifth day.
创1:24 神说:“地要生出活物来,各从其类;牲畜、昆虫、野兽,各从其类。”事就这样成了。
And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so.

创1:25 于是神造出野兽,各从其类;牲畜,各从其类;地上一切昆虫,各从其类。神看着是好的。
God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
创1:26 神说:“我们要照着我们的形像,按着我们的样式造人,使他们管理海里的鱼、空中的鸟、地上的牲畜和全地,并地上所爬的一切昆虫。”
Then God said,“Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
创1:27 神就照着自己的形像造人,乃是照着他的形像造男造女。
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

创1:29 神说:“看哪,我将遍地上一切结种子的菜蔬和一切树上所结有核的果子,全赐给你们作食物。
Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
创1:30 至于地上的走兽和空中的飞鸟,并各样爬在地上有生命的物,我将青草赐给它们作食物。”事就这样成了。
And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground-everything that has the breath of life in it-I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning-the sixth day.
